Assistant Professor of Computer Science
The department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Clark University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in Computer Science starting Fall, 2014. Review of applications will begin on October 28, 2013. Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related field at the time of appointment. Preference will be given to applications from the areas of Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Vision, Computational Geometry and Network Algorithms, and to candidates who can connect their work with ongoing work at Clark in computational science. Outstanding candidates in other fields will also be considered. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in research, with strong commitments to interdisciplinary/interdepartmental collaboration and undergraduate research, and teaching excellence in the context of a small research university; in particular they will be expected to teach a variety of theoretical and applied courses in the CS undergraduate curriculum, including introductory courses.
