Residential Life & Housing

Wright Hall

Wright Hall serves as one of three First Year Residence Halls at Clark University.  Wright Hall houses over 220 students.  Like in Bullock Hall and Sanford Hall, all of the students living in Wright Hall are engaged in the Residential FYE (First Year Experience) program.  The unique opportunities and sense of community experienced in an FYE Hall are just the start of Wright Hall's many great attributes.  Wright Hall's large size means that you'll find yourself part of an immense community, full of life and fun!  There is almost always something going on in Wright Hall, whether it be an impromptu movie night amongst friends, or an organized event hosted by one of the nine Wright Hall Resident Advisors.  Wright Hall anchors the north side of campus, and is only a minute walk from the the Kneller Athletic Center, the Goddard Library, the Administration Building, Estabrook Hall, the Little Center, and the Dodd, Johnson, and Sanford Residence Halls.  Wright Hall is also within a quick walk of the campus center, including the Higgins University Center, Atwood Hall, Jonas Clark Hall, Jefferson Hall, and the Bullock Residence Halls.

Wright Hall Facilities:

Wright Hall features a large social/study lounge with a pool table and vending machines conveniently located on the first floor near the main entrance.  A laundry room and kitchen is located on the basement level.  Wright Hall features two common bathrooms per floor (plus one in the basement), and is accessible from entrances on both Downing and Woodland streets.

Wright Hall Rooms:

Wright Hall is comprised of 106 double rooms, 1 triple room, and 2 quad rooms.  There are also 9 Resident Advisers and 1 Area Coordinator living in Wright Hall.  Rooms are equipped with beds and mattresses (extra long twins; 36” x 84”), desks, chairs, bookshelves, built in closets, and window shades.  Also provided is telephone, cable, and high speed internet service.

Wright Hall double rooms are approximately 12' wide by 15' 6" long, with one large window (6' wide by 5" high) opening directly across from the room door.  The built in closets mounted on either side of the room door reduce overall moveable space to approximately 12' by 13' 3".

The Wright Hall triple room is 16' wide by 15' 6" long.  The three built in closets mounted on both sides of the room door reduce overall moveable space to approximately 16' by 13' 3".

The two Wright Hall quads are approximately 24' wide by 15' 6" long.  Wright Hall quad rooms have two window pairs instead of one, and movable wardrobes rather than built in closets as in the double rooms.  This affords quad residents flexibility in setup.
