Maywood Street Hall
Maywood Street Hall is physically the largest residence
hall on campus and at 225 residents, Maywood houses nearly as many students as
Wright Hall. Maywood is the only residence hall on campus that is
comprised entirely of suites. Maywood is home to Seniors, Juniors, and some
sophomore students and as the name implies, is located along Maywood Street on
the the south side of the campus. Maywood Street Hall is within a
short walk of Dana Commons, Carlson Hall, the Sackler Science Center, the
Lasry Center for Bioscience, the Higgins University Center, and the Dana, Hughes, and
Bullock Residence Halls. Maywood Street Hall Facilities: Maywood Street Hall features a
wealth of shared common space, including study lounges on each floor, a large
social lounge on the first floor, and a large laundry facility on the basement
level. Maywood Street Hall also features four complete kitchenettes on
each of it's upper floors. Maywood Street Hall Suites and Rooms: Each
of Maywood Street Hall's five occupied floors has a variety of
suites, almost all unique in shape and varying in occupancy. Twenty-six suites house
six people
in either three double rooms or two doubles and two single rooms. Fifteen
suites house four people in one double and two single rooms.
Each suite resembles an apartment with a separate entry door, a common living room, and
a shared suite bathroom. Regardless of layout, each room is
equipped with beds and mattresses (extra
long twins; 36” x 84”), desks, chairs, bookshelves, built in closets, chest of
drawers, and window
drapes.
Also provided is telephone, cable, and high speed internet
service. Please note: because of the variety of room size and shapes
in Maywood Street Hall, we can not provide specific room dimensions.
