Graduate Housing at 914 Main Street

914 Main Street is located on the corner of Main and Hawthorne Streets. It features 6 spacious apartment units, each housing up to 4 graduate students in single rooms. 914 Main Street offers the largest kitchen and common areas of our housing inventory, and the kitchen cabinets, counters, and appliances were recently replaced and upgraded. 914 Main Street Graduate Housing is located above the National Grid Sustainability Hub - New England’s first-of-its-kind. The Sustainability Hub provides hands-on education about energy efficiency and emerging energy technologies for National Grid’s customers and the community at large. It also serves as a popular study space for Clark University students in their open meeting spaces.

Apartments in 914 Main Street are located on floors 2, 3, and 4. Apartments 1 and 2 are on the second floor, apartments 3 and 4 are on the third floor, and apartments 5 and 6 are on the fourth floor. Laundry is accessible on the third floor outside of apartment 3.

Apartments 2, 4, and 6 are located on the Hawthorne Street side of the building, and apartments 1, 3, and 5 are located on the south facing side looking toward the Clark University Bookstore. The apartments are all the same layout, just mirrored from one side to the other.

Rooms 101,201,301,401,501,and 601

Rooms that end in 01 are on the Main Street side of the building with windows facing Main Street. These afford great light and are large rooms with flexible setup options. Main Street side rooms can be noisier and students who are very sensitive to noise may wish to select an 04 room.

Rooms 102,202,302,402,502,and 602

Rooms that end in 02 are on the Main Street side of the building with windows on two walls. These afford the most light, but can also let in more noise and be slightly less flexible to arrange.

Rooms 103,203,303,403,503,and 603

Rooms that end in 03 are on the sides of the building so they are generally a bit quieter. 03 rooms feature nice built in cabinets not found in the other rooms.

Rooms 104,204,304,404,504,and 604

Rooms that end in 04 are on the back side of the building and their windows open up to the back porches. These tend to be the quietest graduate housing rooms, but can be darker due to light having to come in through the porch windows before hitting the room. These are great for students who like their room darker and quieter!
