2015-2016 Residence Calendar

FALL 2015

  • July 1, 2015 - Early arrival forms are available by Clicking Here
  • August 9, 2015 - Last day to submit an early arrival request without penalty fee
  • August 20, 2015 - First Year and Transfer move-in day
  • August 23, 2015 - Returning students move-in day
  • August 24, 2015 - First day of Classes
  • October 12-13, 2015 - Fall Break - Residences will remain open
  • November 18, 2015 - Spring 2016 early arrival request goes live
  • November 18, 2015 - Winter break housing request form goes live
  • December 2, 2015 - Last day to register for spring early arrival or winter housing without penalty fee
  • December 7, 2015 - Last day of classes
  • December 8, 9, 12 & 13 - Reading days
  • December 10, 11, 14 & 15 - Final Exams
  • December 16, 2015 - Residence Halls close at noon

SPRING 2016

  • January 5, 2016 - Last day to submit an early arrival form without penalty fee
  • January 18, 2016 - Residence Halls open at 10:00am
  • January 19, 2016 - First day of classes
  • March 1, 2016 - Graduate Housing applicaitons go live
  • March 7-11, 2016 - Spring Break - Residence Halls remain open
  • April 1, 2016 - Summer Housing Applications go live
  • April 1, 2016 - Extended stay applications go live
  • May 2, 2016 - Last day of classes
  • May 3, 4, 7 & 8 - Reading Days
  • May 5, 6, 9 & 10 - Final Exams
  • May 11, 2016 - Undergraduate Residence Halls close for non-graduates
  • May 22, 2016 - Commencement

 

Early Arrival & Extended Stay

Returning students seeking early arrivals can request to arrive up to 48 hours before their scheduled arrival, no earlier than August 21, 2015 at noon. First year and Transfer students can request up to 24 hours early arrival. Students who have approved, university reasons for their arrival (athletics, international orientation, arriving for specific sponsored orientation programs) will be approved by their advisors and that information will be included in your assignments email.

A $25 per day charge will be placed on a students account for early arrival. The only exception is new students arriving from more than 500 miles away.

Students seeking extended stay can remain up to 72 hours after their anticipated check out date. Students not graduating must check out no later than Saturday, May 14, 2016 at noon. Students graduating must check out by noon on Thursday, May 26, 2016.

Fees and schedules for extended stay are as follows:

  • $25 a day for all students who apply by May 4, 2016
  • A $50 late fee will be added to any student who is approved for extended stay after May 4, 2016
  • $150 a day for students found remaining in residence with no approval.
