GLBTQ issues, sexual concerns, substance abuse and trauma.
Confidentiality and Safety is of the utmost importance. The service is confidential for students and information is not shared without permission, except in cases where an individual's safety is at risk. If it has been clinically determined that a student is at risk to her/himself or others, the student may be requested to be assessed at Emergency Mental Health at UMASS Memorial Hospital. The University has a protocol following any mental health hospital evaluation or hospitalization. This protocol includes a re-entry interview by an on-campus clinician which must take place within 24 business hours of release from the hospital. A student is not allowed back on campus unless the interview has been conducted or unless otherwise stated by the Dean of Students.
