The history department includes coursework on every major geographical area of the world and conceptual approaches ranging from political and diplomatic to social, intellectual and cultural. Students choose one of three areas of geographic specialization: United States, European or global history, which may be linked to coursework in concentrations such as Asian Studies, Holocaust Studies or Women’s Studies. There is also a general track leading to education certification in conjunction with the Education Department.
