Internship Program Overview
How does an employer start an internship at Clark University?
- Provide a Description: Create an internship description and post it on The Clark Recruiter, our online job and internship database, or send it to Career Services at email@example.com.
- Hire a Student: Students will be able to access your description and apply to you directly through the Clark Recruiter. Employers are responsible for hiring their own interns.
- Fulfill Credit Obligations (if applicable): Your intern may choose to pursue academic credit for the experience. If this is the case, there are a few guidelines and responsibilities for your organization to follow. If the student does not pursue credit, all terms and conditions are strictly between the employer and intern.

- Approximately 40 to 50 students participate in internships every semester.
- Communication & Culture majors and International Development & Social Change majors are required to earn one unit of academic credit through an internship.
- 90% of fall and spring internships take place inside of Worcester County.
- 5% of interns are international students.
- The majority of interns are in their sophomore or junior year.
- The majority of students who pursue internships study the following majors: Psychology, Communication and Culture, Political Science (formerly known as Government), International Development and Social Change, Biochemistry, English, and Management.
