The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative is the state’s development agency for renewable energy and the innovation economy, which is responsible for one-quarter of all jobs in the state. In 2006, Clark students participated in the MTC's Choose Clean Energy Program. The student donations for renewable energy triggered two match grants from the MTC that will support renewable energy programs. One went to the City of Worcester and the other went to low income communities within the state. Each was over $10,000. |

In the summer of 2006, Mass Energy began a new program, the New England Wind Fund, to create more wind power in New England. Electricity in New England comes from dirty energy sources that harm our environment and decrease our security. In 2006, Clark students made the largest private sector contribution the New England Wind Fund received that year. |
