Introducing CAVE, the Clark Anti-Violence Education Program

We are pleased to announce a new sexual assault, dating violence and stalking prevention program for the campus, spearheaded by Psychology Professors Kathleen Palm and Denise Hines. This program is supported by grants from the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Justice. The goal of the program is to reduce dating violence and sexual assault at Clark through education programs and campaigns throughout the year. It is a coordinated effort by several offices at Clark, including law enforcement, the Dean of Students office, women's studies, athletics, health care services, the counseling center, housing authorities and RAs, judicial boards, and representatives from student government and other concerned student groups.

The CAVE site on the Wellness Channel, is the place to help students find facts about sexual assault and dating violence, tips for helping a friend or getting help, and resources that are available both on campus and in the community. Additionally, if a student comes to you for help or advice, you can direct them to the CAVE site, Kathleen Palm at x7277 or Denise Hines at x7458.
