Joel Schwartz, Senior Vice President and General Manager of EMC Corporation delivered a talk entitled "It's a Small World After All".   

Joel Schwartz is Senior Vice President and General Manager, Midrange Systems Division at EMC Corporation. With 2004 revenues of $8.23 billion, and more than 22,000 employees worldwide, EMC is the world leader in products, services and solutions for information storage and management that help organizations extract the maximum value from their information, at the lowest total cost, across every point in the information lifecycle.

Mr. Schwartz is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the CLARiiON product line as well as the CLARiiON Research and Development organization. Additionally, he is EMC’s Senior Executive responsible for the Dell/EMC partnership and has extensive experience in international markets including India and China.

Mr. Schwartz joined EMC in 1999 from Data General Corporation where he served as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the CLARiiON Division as well as Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining Data General, Schwartz was President of Polygen Corporation and also held various General Manager and Marketing/Sales management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation.

Schwartz holds a BSEE and MSEE from Case Western Reserve University and also attended the Executive Management Program at Stanford University.
