Professional & Academic Experience

Dr. Vitols has held various roles as a derivatives structurer, marketer, consultant and faculty member. Most recently, she was a founding partner for Tachyon, an Asian-based hedge fund. She has also held senior positions at D.E. Shaw & Co., Credit Suisse, and McKinsey & Co. Her business work experience has spanned New York, Hong Kong and London. Prior to her capital markets career, Dr. Vitols held faculty and staff positions at the University of Pennsylvania and Los Alamos National Laboratories. During her time as an academic physicist, she received numerous grants, awards and published over 15 papers. She has also founded a successful non-profit in New York City which fosters regional open water swimming and improving the city’s water quality. She is also actively involved with 100 Women In Hedge Funds and the Asian University for Women.
