Graduate Student Working

Welcome new graduate students

Welcome to the Graduate School at Clark University! We are pleased to welcome new students to our academic community, and to greet returning students, who already form an important part of the fabric of our university. We trust the coming year will be an exciting and productive one for you. We hope the information on this site will help prepare you for some of the aspects of graduate student life at Clark University.

We look forward to seeing all of you in August and trust you will get the academic year off to an excellent start. We will be doing everything possible to help this process along. Please know that we are interested in the success of each and every graduate student. Good luck to you as you begin the 2013-2014 academic year!

Before your arrival...

Health Insurance

Massachusetts' law requires that all full-time students enroll in a qualifying health insurance plan, or certify that they have comparable coverage under another plan. It is imperative that you complete the Health Insurance enrollment/waiver process by going to University Health Plans by July 25. You can read and/or print the health insurance brochure, as well as either enroll in or waive the insurance online (domestic student can waive the insurance only if they have comparable insurance, international students cannot waive the health insurance). For further questions please contact your student account counselor listed below.

Immunizations

All incoming graduate students are required to submit immunization forms. Please print out the forms below and bring to your doctor or other qualified health care provider for completion. You must return the forms to your home department by August 1. Students' immunization records must be reviewed and cleared by a nurse in the Health Services Department before registration for classes is permitted. You will be notified if you need further vaccines. We recommend that you obtain all vaccines prior to coming to Clark because the cost of vaccines in Massachusetts can range between $60-$300. If you have questions regarding immunizations, please email the Graduate School or call 508-793-7676 or contact your home department. For more information visit the Health Services website.
