Formatting Guides and Templates
The formatting guides and templates are geared towards students completing their dissertation for a Ph.D. and a thesis for the master's degree.
Please call or email the Graduate School Coordinator/Format Advisor at 508-793-7676 (drobertson@clarku.edu) before printing out the completed version of your manuscript. Manuscripts with incorrect formatting will not be accepted by the Graduate School office and could delay conferral of the degree.

Before submitting your dissertation or thesis to the Graduate School, the oral defense must already have taken place and all corrections must already have been made prior to submission of the manuscript.
Degrees are officially conferred at four meetings of the Board of Trustees each year. All students who submit their manuscripts to the Graduate School and have completed all requirements for degree by April
1, 2010 will be eligible to attend Commencement on May 23, 2010.
Deadline dates for submitting manuscripts for 2009-10 are:
October 2, 2009 - Degree to be conferred October 24, 2009
November 13, 2009 - Degree to be conferred December 14, 2009
January 15, 2010 - Degree to be conferred February 6, 2010
April 1, 2010 - Degree to be conferred May 23, 2010
Individual departments may have earlier deadlines for completion. Please
consult with your department assistant.
