Other news from 2009

Congratulations to Katrina Twing who completed her MS at the University of Delaware this past spring!

Congratulations also to Katie Brown and Katrina Twing! Their co-authored paper appeared in the April 2009  addition of the Journal of Phycology. The article can be viewed on our Publications page.

April 2009

Excitement is building as the end of the semester approaches.  Jacqui Mitchell and Grant Goodrich will be graduating (but lucky for us staying in the lab as fifth year students).  Everyone is busy in the lab and preparing posters for Spree Day.

Sohini Goshroy (PhD candidate) gave an oral presentation of her work at the Northeast Algal Symposium (Amherst, MA).  Her talk, titled "Glutamine synthetase II: A case of lateral gene transfer in basal Viridiplantae?", was well received.  Bill Johansen, emeritus professor from Clark, was one of the meeting's co-conveners.

may 2009 - Recent Graduates

Congratulations to the recent graduates of the Robertson Lab! Kevin Brown '08 and Bryce Winant '08 both completed honors theses this past spring. Jenna Nguyen '08 will be joining the Dana Farber Cancer Institute as a research technician this month (congratulations to Jenna and Eddie on their recent wedding as well). Additional words of congratulations to our alumnae, Dr. Victoria Byfield, who received her DVM degree in May.
