Fredo in the lab
Bio: I have received a Ph.D. from the University of Vigo, Spain, in 2006 under the direction of Dr. Marisa Castro.
Research Interests
The subject of my Ph.D. was a classic taxonomic study of the family Pluteaceae (incl. Amanita, Limacella, Torrendia, Pluteus, Volvariella) in the Iberian Peninsula and Balearic Islands. I'm interested in the phylogeny, taxonomy and biogeography of these and other genera included in the “pluteoid” clade.
