Professor Hendricks received his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in 2001. He has taught at Clark since the Fall of 2001 and holds the George Kneller Chair in Philosophy.

Teaching and Research

Scott Hendricks's primary research interests are the philosophy of mind, the philosophy of psychology and cognitive science, and epistemology. Presently he is focusing on phenomenal concepts and the relationships between epistemic rationality, point of view, and the structure of belief.

Among the courses that Hendricks teaches at Clark are Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Psychology (cross-listed in the Department of Psychology), Epistemology, Formal Logic, Introduction to Philosophy, Philosophy of Language, and the Ideal of the Educated Person.
