Current Research Interests

Christoph Hohenemser received his Ph.D. in nuclear physics in 1963 from Washington University (St. Louis). He has published over 80 papers in nuclear solid state physics, with specialization in magnetic critical phenomena, lattice defects and high temperature superconductivity. His work also has included public policy issues related to nuclear weapons, nuclear electric power, and a wide range of technological hazards. In 1971 he was a founder of Clark's pioneering Program on Environmental Science and Policy. He is a fellow in the American Physical Society (APS) and the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA). He is a Professor Emeritus of Clark University as well as a Marsh Distinguished Scientist.
