Internships at IDCE are research-focused with the intention of expanding students' research, analytical and problem-solving abilities, developing students to become scholars and practitioners who lead social change.

Worcester, and, in particular, IDCE's close connection with organizations in the social change arena in Worcester, provides rich and varied opportunities for students. Boston is less than 50 miles from Worcester and also can provide rich and meaningful internship opportunities for IDCE students during the academic year. Many students pursue internships in locations across the United States and around the world during the summer.

Students complete internships with non-profit, for-profit, NGO, government and research organizations, linking IDCE's signature themes. Students have recently completed internships with organizations such as:
