Lauren Kumar (IDSC '2013)
Lauren Kumar (USA) received her B.A. in history and Africana studies from the University of Arizona. She was a community service leader in Circle K International and was an active member of the historical society, Phi Alpha Theta at the University. She had the pleasure of interning at the Arizona Historical Society in Tucson, Arizona and was also given the opportunity to intern as a teaching assistant with a professor of Africana studies. She has spent time in India which initially sparked her interest in International Development. Her current research goals are economic and environmental sustainability as well as human rights. She hopes to one day teach development and its importance.
