James M. Dolansky (GISDE '2014)

James M. Dolansky (USA) is a New England native who recently moved back to Massachusetts after spending several years in the Washington D.C. metro area. He worked as a wetlands consultant for almost ten years in the states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maryland before deciding to return to graduate school as a GISDE major to strengthen analytical, data management, and mapping skills to further his professional development. His GIS interests include spatial analysis, database management, and web mapping solutions as applied to environmental issues concerning wetlands, vernal pools, residential/commercial development, and resource management / conservation. After graduating in 2014, James will be pursuing a position with either a government agency, a mid-sized architecture & planning firm, or a GIS logistics company dealing with impacts, restoration, and / or mitigation of environmental resources in the New England area.
