Anders Olson (GISDE '2012)

Anders Olson (USA) graduated from the University of Denver in 2008 with a B.A. in International Studies and Spanish.  He recently worked as an intern with a non-profit organization called El Porvenir, which specializes in water sanitation issues in rural Nicaragua.  To further insure the sustainability of projects, El Porvenir is actively involved in reforestation projects, eco-stove projects, and health education projects to improve the standard of living for rural populations.  He was responsible for Spanish/English translation, web development, data management and occasional fundraising.  His research interests are water policy, resource management, food security and urban geography.
