Courtney Kurz (IDSC '2013)

Courtney Kurz (USA) received a B.A. in Social Science with a Psychology emphasis from Hope International University in Southern California in 2008. While in school she spent time in Mexico, Kenya, England, Indonesia and Peru on short-term missionary trips working with youth and local communities. In 2010 she returned to Nairobi, Kenya for six months as an Intern at a Kenyan-run NGO to work in their Community Health Education and Evangelism department. While there she assisted with AIDS and health education, community projects and home visits to those living in the Mathare Valley slum. Her interests involve youth, education, sustainable community development, Africa and missions.
