In keeping with the mission of North High School, the Health Science Academy requires that students take responsibility for their own learning. The Health Science Academy offers students a personalized learning atmosphere that features opportunities for active learning, small group instruction, authentic assessment and experiential learning, both in our classrooms and through our partnership with the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. With a focus on health and science, the academy prepares students for higher education and to be contributing members of society. Trust and mutual respect form the basis for effective communication among students, parents and the community.
