Natalie Susmann
Natalie Susmann (class of 2009) is interning at the City of Worcester's
Technical Services under the supervision of Shane White. Her first task was to
tackle issues relating to address points in Worcester which pose a problem when the
city forecloses on properties and list them as being for sale. She uses satellite photography.
The project she is currently working on involves editing addresses that
the city's database and the U.S census data do not agree upon; occasionally
people list their address as a street or street number that the U.S Census deems
as invalid. This causes issues with mailing.
Susmann has been
using Excel, Access, and Arc software. The majority of the work she will be doing
at the internship will relate to this Worcester address points project. |
