Sara Levenson Class of 2004 |
From Geography of Children to World Education Services
Sara Levenson graduated from Clark in May 2004 with a double major in geography and sociology; she was also a part of the International Studies Stream. Her honors thesis in geography focused on children in Worcester. She was interested in children's access to public playgrounds as well as the quality of the playgrounds to which children in different neighborhoods had access. Sara compared children attending The Goddard School in Main South with children at the Flagg Street school on the wealthier west side of Worcester.
Sara was elected to Gamma Theta Upsilon (the Geography honor society), Alpha, Kappa Delta (the Sociology honor society) and Phi Beta Kappa. She was a member of the Senior Gift Committee, worked with Big Brother Big Sister, and was Captain of the women's lacrosse team.
Sara now lives in New York City and works for World Education Services as a Credential Evaluator, which involves authenticating foreign educational documents and giving international educational credentials American and or Canadian equivalencies.
