After completing his master's degree in Geography at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1996, and a Ph.D. in geography at Clark in 2000, Del Levia taught at Clark for one year as a visiting professor. He is now assistant professor of geography at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, teaching and researching in the areas of hydrology, watershed ecology, biometeorology, field methods and instrumentation, and water management.
