Dr. D'Lugo received a B.A. from Brooklyn College in 1965, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois in 1967 and 1969, respectively. He has been at Clark since 1972. He is adjunct professor of Screen Studies and is affiliated with the program in Comparative Literature. Dr. D'Lugo is the contact person for the Study Abroad programs in Spain or the Dominican Republic. Current Research and TeachingDr. D'Lugo's special areas of research and teaching include Spanish-language cinema, especially those of Spain, Cuba, Argentina, and Mexico. He also teaches courses on Hispanic culture and has been a regular member of the team teaching the department's core course, The National Imagination. For the last five years, he has directed the Worcester Latino Film Festival, which each spring brings a noted director and recent Latino films to campus. Dr. D'Lugo is the author of an encyclopedia of Spanish film and The Films of Carlos Saura: The Practice of Seeing. Dr. D'Lugo is also the first person you should see if you are interested in our Study Abroad programs in Spain or the Dominican Republic.
