Faculty
The faculty of the English Department consists of scholars in all the major periods of English and American literature, who are also enthusiastic and dedicated teachers. In addition to traditional survey courses, the department offers a rich variety of seminars, small discussion classes devoted to intensive study of particular areas and topics. The department offers workshops in creative writing and sponsors annual contests in playwriting, poetry, and fiction. Members of the department are also actively engaged in the University¹s interdisciplinary programs and concentrations. Extensive and intensive consultation between faculty and students is strongly encouraged by the department.
