Dr. Ickowitz received her Ph.D in Economics from the University of California, Riverside in 2004.

Current Research and Teaching

Dr. Ickowitz's major research fields are Development Economics and Environmental and Natural Resource Economics. For the last few years, she has been doing research on shifting cultivation and deforestation in Tropical Africa. She has taught classes in Introductory Economics, Labor Economics, Money and Banking, and undergraduate and graduate Development Economics. She is currently teaching Development Economics and Principles of Economics.
