Internships and Study Abroad and Away

Clark's Office of Career Services can help you find an internship tailored to your interests. Recent screen studies students have interned at the Vintage Movie Poster Archive in Worcester (read an interview with Ian Peters '05), Davis Entertainment in Los Angeles and WCCA-TV in Worcester.

The Sara Bickman Music and Arts Summer Internship for Undergraduates. This award provides financial support for summer internships for undergraduate students majoring in the Visual and Performing Arts. Awards are made to students in their junior year for projects to be conducted between their junior and senior years. Applications are made on behalf of students by sponsoring faculty members. Contact Christina McGovern. Bickman intern Jason Simpkins '04 produced a feature length movie about life at Clark.

Steinbrecher Fellowship. V&PA students can also apply to the Steinbrecher Fellowship Program, designed to encourage, support and fund the pursuit of original ideas, creative research, public service or enrichment projects by Clark undergraduate students from any major.

Study Abroad and Away

The opportunity to observe first hand the artistic contributions of other cultures can be of immense benefit to students in the Visual and Performing Arts.

London Internship. Clark's one-semester London Internship Program gives students like Zoe Cohen '07, who interned with a British television production company, an opportunity to combine an internship in a field of their choice with coursework.

University of Stirling. Screen studies students might be particularly interested in the study abroad program at Scotland's University of Stirling, which has an excellent reputation in film and media studies.

The V&PA major interested in studying abroad should consult early on with his or her advisor and the Study Abroad and Away Office to coordinate a program with the requirements of the major.
