The current paintings come out of my continuing interest in masculine performance and interaction. The characters negotiate spaces that affirm and deny the possibility for connection. The attention to placement and geometry create an environment that calls attention to things hidden by the architecture of suits - the shape of desire, the possibility of contact, and the isolation of contemporary life.
