My work is an attempt to describe connection - the evidence of interaction and interrelation of every element and system operating in the world.

By tapping my experience with the material and social world, I try to simplify or distill a basic idea, shape and/or color. This is a very intuitive process where I am trying to transcend the literal in order to capture the essence of whichever subject or idea I am dealing with.

Through painting I try to translate that which resists words into a visual form, to give outward expression to my inner perceptions and to share with the viewer this sense of connection.

I deliberately avoided the use of titles or labels, believing that words are incompatible with the intention of this series.
