Nate Mo Chin

While chilling on a friend's rooftop late one night, I looked down into the streets of Chinatown and followed them out into the city with my eyes. The landscape periodically shifted from hustle and bustle to a divine calm, and it cycled back and forth. The warm streetlights combined with the stinging neon store signs, conversational traffic lights and energetic head and taillights of cars streaming through to create a distinctive scene.

This series of digital photo-collages is representative of my perception of my hometown. It is from the perspective of the rooftops of Chinatown, where I have grown up hanging out with my oldest friends. This part of the city is a special place for me, and these collages are a way in which I can share it.
