Observations and Results:

Table 1 T-Test showing the Distribution of Meiofauna between Nahant and Niles Beach:  T-Test were performed to determine if there was a significant difference between meiofauna at the  two beaches.  It is observed that there is a significant difference in the abundance of Harpacticoid Copepods (p value <.05), and the other though species nematodes and Flatworms had no significant difference,

Nahant chart

Chart 1:
A Graph of the meiofauna found at Nahant's beach. It is observed that mostly Nematodes were present.

Niles Beach Chart

Chart 2:
A Graph of the meiofauna found at Niles Beach. It is obsereved that mostly Nematodes, and some Harpacticoid Copepods were present.

Means of Species

Chart 3:  A graph of the means of species that were present at both Nahant and Niles Beach. In this graph it is observed that Niles Beach has a slightly stronger diversity in its distribution of meiofauna than Nahant.

Chart of Nahant Sediment

Results of Sediments between Nahant and Niles Beach

Chart 4: A graph of the different sized sediment percentages at Nahant. In this graph it shows that Nahant had larger  percentages of the larger sized sediments (gravel, and very coarse sand).

Chart Sediment at Niles

Chart 5: A graph of the different sized sediment percentages at Niles Beach. In this graph is shows that Niles Beach had larger percentages of the smaller sized sediment. (coarse sand and medium sand)
