ecosystem health in Narragansett Bay and Bermuda, this proved to be
difficult because the two locations are extrememly different. The
policies and management practices in Narragansett Bay stem from a long
history of failed sewage treatment and a recent attempt to revitalize bay
health. Bermuda has better water quality than Narragansett Bay,
but is threatened by poor waste treatment programs and high population
density. Future management actions in Bermuda should recognize the
characteristics of the failed attemepts in Rhode Island and should strive to
maintain more effective practices. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Seekonk River, Pawtucket RI; Nonsuch Island, Bermuda; Bristol RI; Astwood Park, Bermuda. |
