Figure 1 This graph shows the distribution of the species collected in New England, giving the proportion of each specie relative to the collection site. At the oceanic sites, amphipods were clearly the dominant specie, whereas copepods were most common in the marsh. |

| Table 1 Shows the diversity of species at each location. We can see from this data that Nahant 1 was the most diverse, however Nahant 2 was the least diverse. This was calculated using Simpson's Diversity Index* where n is the number of individuals of a particular speciesand N is the total number of species in the sample. * ![]() |
