While in Bermuda, I studied the diversity of plankton in various areas.  My goal was to look for differences in the collections between the eastern and western sides of the island.  These locations were John Smith's Bay and Whalebone Bay, respectively.  In addition, the northern most point was used for sampling.  This was Tobacco Bay.  Finally, Walsingham was used for collection as it is a brackish pond.  It was hypothesized that there would be no significant difference in diversity on the opposite shores of the island.  However, it was also hypothesized that there would be a significant difference in the diversity between the bays and the pond.  My first hypothesis proved to be false, as there was a significant difference, however, my second hypothesis was accurate.  In the bays I found mostly copepods and the pond mostly consisted of upside down jelly fish larvae.
