Our class, "Ecology of Atlantic Shores", took multiple trips to Nahant, MA to gather information on a project of our choice (with the guidance from our professors). My project was on the relationship between Littorina obtusata and Fucus spiralis and Ascophyllum nodosum. The L. obtusata are found both on the F.spiralis and A. nodosum on the rocky intertidal in New England. My question was whether or not they had a preference to which Algae they would rather settle on.
