Nahant:
The snail Littorina sp. is vital member to the rocky intertidal community of New England. However, the movement of the snail within the intertidal environment is not known.  This study, through tagging, documents that tidal currents can move Littorina at least 5m from a starting area within the algae-filled intertidal.  The implications of this level of movement are discussed as well as future possibilities for research.

Bermuda:
A survey of two sites on the opposing shores of Bermuda was conducted to examine possible anthropogenic impacts on coral biodiversity.  The south shore was seen as the more pristine site whereas the north shore has been influenced by a large amount of human infrastructure.  No differences in coral species was found between the four sites on the two shores.  The differences in water quality or health of the corals was not examined for this study.
