This site is the culmination of a semester's worth of research, field work, and skill acquisition. Lectures in intertidal ecology, workshops in spreadsheet calculation and website production, three trips to Northeastern University's Marine Science Center, a week long trip to the Bermuda Biological Station for Research as well as hours spent delving in the basement of the Robert H. Goddard Library have all coalesced into this information database. Life history and ecological aspects of the Gulf of Maine organisms provide for an interesting look into how complex intertidal communities can really be.  The Nerita versicolor experiment is an exercise in marine fieldwork and explores some of the aspects that make intertidal structure so intricate and fun to work with.
