I used the same method in quantifying the numbers of species in the tide pool as Lubchenko used in her study.  The size of the quadrat used to measure the species' abundance is 0.25 m2.  The only difference between my experiment and Lubchenko's experiment was the duration of her experiment versus the duration of my experiment.  Tide pool A was considered the control; tide pool B and C were the experimentals.  I removed the L. littorea's from tide pool B and placed them in tide pool C.   I started this experiment in October and was only able to do a month worth of observation.  So, I had the opportunity to monitor the pools for 2 months, October and November, while her 3 tide pools were covered in a year and a half.
