1. Please describe your present professional position.
Currently, I’m working as the Complex Operations Manager for Save the Children’s humanitarian emergency department. As part of my job’s responsibilities, I provide management support to country offices responding to large scale emergencies.
2. What do you find satisfying about your position?
The position is very dynamic. It’s a great opportunity to work on interesting and complex projects, assisting individuals most in need.
3. How did the IDSC program at Clark University help to prepare you?
Academic rigor and great writing skills are what I needed to have success in proposal development.
4. Why should prospective students enroll in the IDSC program at Clark University?
IDCE students enjoy a strong faculty. The program is respected through the humanitarian community for producing thoughtful and self-directed candidates for employment.
5. Did you have an internship as part of your Clark education? If so, how did it help to connect you to your current career? In what ways was the experience valuable?
Yes – mindly helpful, but contacts established from time in Clark were critical in job search.
6. What was the topic of your research while at Clark University?
Reproductive rights and child abandonment.
