Monday, April 30th

"End the Debt Crisis" by Hopewell Gumboa - Jubilee USA Tour

1:30- 3:30 pm, Johnson Auditorium (Sackler 120)
You are invited to attend a lecture TODAY by Jubilee USA representative Hopewell Gumbo. Hopewell is a leading human rights, social and economic justice activist and political analyst, and Jubilee works to achieve debt cancellation internationally. This talk is part of their "End the Debt Crisis" tour and should be an engaging event and a great break from exam preparations. The International Development and Social Change program and the Graduate Student Council have generously co-sponsored the event. Everyone in the community is welcome!

Tuesday, May 1st

"Conservation and Effective Practice Celebration" - a Clark Poster Symposium

2-4 pm, Lasry Atrium
We will have our first "Conservation and Effective Practice Celebration" on May Day (May 1st). Students from three classes will be presenting their work in poster format. Refreshments will be provided. We hope you will join us to provide feedback on new Clark Landscape designs using native species, and to learn about the outcomes of projects on wildlife conservation, and small scale land conservation. See the attached flyer for more details. IDCE students are participating, so come see the work they are doing.

Friday, May 4th

Spring Fling!

6 pm into the night, Tilton Hall, UC
The first years would like to cordially invite you to the IDCE Spring Fling Mystery Gala. There will be food, beverages, music, friends and colleagues, so save the date for this time to bring closure to our year together and send off the second years.
