The 1st ever "5k Green Run" took place on Sunday, April 5th at Clark University. The race had 117 runners and raised over $1300 for the Regional Environmental Council in Worcester, MA.

This event was organized by Clark students Bonnie Unger, Sarah Holroyd, and Maria Arabatzis. These students won $5,000 from the Eu-Reka Big Idea Contest sponsored by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program at Clark.

Over 170 Clark students participated in the 7th annual Just Do It Day of Service on Saturday, April 4th, 2009. Students volunteered at 15 different sites in the City of Worcester including the Boys & Girls Club, the Worcester Housing Authority, and Stone Soup. The theme this year was "I Just Did It and I Liked It". Thanks to everyone for helping out and getting involved in our community!

2007-2008 Academic Year

During Spring Break in March 2008, 20 Clark students traveled to New Orleans to build homes with Habitat for Humanity. They spent the week staying at Camp Hope, a renovated school building that hosts Habitat volunteers - over 600 volunteers were there the same week! Clark students worked on homes in New Orleans East area. For most students, this was the first trip to New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina. It was an amazing experience! Thanks to all that supported the group in their fundraising efforts and to everyone in New Orleans for their hospitality!
Over 170 Clark students participated in the 6th annual Just Do It Day on Saturday, April 5th. There were 50 first-years who participated as part of the First-Year Experience, which was a great way for them to get oriented to the Worcester community. Among the 15 community sites the students served were the Worcester Housing Authority, the Main South Community Development Corporation, and Friendly House.  Everyone got a t-shirt with this year's slogan "Just Doing It Since 2003" and the afternoon of service ended in the Grind with music and food from One Love Cafe and Webster House.

Thanks to everyone who participated and made Just Do It Day 2008 a great success!

The 4th annual Stair-A-Thon was held Thursday, February 21st 2008. There were 26 participants and roughly $500 was raised for the YWCA Daybreak programs that support women and children who are victims of domestic violence. This year, Devon Saliga broke the record with an astounding 53 trips up/down the Jonas Clark stairs! Congratulations, Devon! The event was followed by a Hillel Bagel Brunch in JC 001.
