Volunteer of the MonthKristen Domurad
Kristen Domurad is a senior A Difference Scholar nominated to be CEVolunteer of the month because of her enthusiasm and energy in all the volunteer projects with which she works. She originally received her scholarship because of her involvement in high school. She was in the Leo's Club which did multiple fundraisers year round, made holiday baskets for the less fortunate, planned the Friar's Christmas Party every year (a party for handicapped adults ages 20-30), and also acted as a peer mediator for her classmates. Kristen's energy and involvement continued here at Clark. Upon arrival, she immediately began to mentor an 8-year old girl across the street in an after school program at St. Peter's Catholic Church. She has participated in all the MAD sponsored events, including a Habitat For Humanity Project, all the Food For Thoughts, the Stair-A-Thon, and Just Do It Day. Kristen also serves as co-coordinator for the CARE initiative. Kristen was nominated and chosen for her involvement in many service related activities; however, her energy and effectiveness in all these projects has been exceptional and noted by all of her peers. Thanks Kristen for making Clark and the Main South community a better place! If you would like to learn about other ways you can serve the Worcester Community, or if you would like to nominate a fellow Clarkie for CEVolunteer of the Month, call x3785. |
