Volunteering: Opportunities
Getting Started
In the 2007-2008 academic year, over 800 Clark students volunteered 30,000 hours in the Worcester community. Below are a few examples of how Clark students spend their time in the local community:
- Teach ESL courses at St. Peter’s
- Work in urban gardens with the Regional Environmental Council
- Tutor in the homework center and work in the recreation center at the Boys and Girls Club
- Serve dinner at local transitional housing programs
- Staff a local food pantry
- Participate in annual Just Do It Day of Service each April
Check out the Clark Recruiter. It now lists volunteer opportunities for Worcester organizations. Find out when and where you are needed!
If you still have questions, stop by the CEV Center on the 1st floor of Corner House. The office staff can help you find a placement that fits your interests and schedule. Drop in hours are Monday-Thursday 2-4 p.m.
