Steinbrecher Fellowships

Undergraduate Research in the U.S. and Beyond

The Steinbrecher Fellowship Program, created by a gift from Barbara '56 and Thomas '56 Anton, gives Clark undergraduates opportunities to explore their intellectual interests. Fellowships range from $500 to $2,500. Recipients also become members of the Society of Anton Fellows, which meets with faculty mentors at special gatherings throughout the year to share their research experiences. Anton Fellows use the fellowship for a wide range of research endeavors. Read about recent Steinbrecher Fellows and their research projects.

Compton Mentor Fellowships

Community Service Projects Aimed at Improving Society

Clark students are eligible for the Compton Mentor Fellowship Program, a fellowship created by the Compton Foundation to support the creativity and commitment of graduating college students as they leave the classroom and apply their knowledge to real world problems. The program specifically supports projects that address issues of environmental degradation, rapid population growth and the fragility of peace and human rights. The one-year fellowships begin immediately after graduation and are conducted in conjunction with a mentor chosen by the Compton Fellow. Read about the current Clark Compton Fellows.

HERO Program

Understanding Environmental Change

The Human-Environment Regional Observatory-Central Massachusetts (HERO-CM) research program provides opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to analyze the causes and consequences of global environmental changes at local scales in faculty-led research projects.
