GoLocalWorcester.com: 'Clark University and Councilman King celebrate Youth Worker Training Institute 2016 graduation'

In a preview of the 12th annual Youth Worker Training Institute's luncheon graduation ceremony on May 2 at the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester, GoLocalWorcester.com mentioned Clark University's ties to the institute. Clark partners with HOPE (Healthy Options for Prevention and Education) to sponsor the annual graduation.

Clark students are engaged in the institute as part of the "Fundamentals of Youth Work" course taught by Adjunct Professor Jennifer Safford-Farquharson as part of Clark’s Youth Work Practice Certificate Program.

Associate Professor Laurie Ross is the coalition director of HOPE, which aims to reduce youth violence and substance abuse and to promote positive mental health and youth voice through a youth-adult partnership in Worcester.
