head coach Linda Wage Entering her 20th season at the Clark softball helm, head coach Linda Wage has compiled an impressive 306-195 overall record. She has led the team to seven postseason appearances and six 20-plus win seasons in the last 12 years. The 1999 NEWMAC Coach of the Year guided the Cougars to their first NCAA Division III Tournament and capped the year at 31-11. The following year Clark posted a 31-11 mark again and reached the finals of the ECAC Tournament. She also received conference honors as NEW 8 Coach of the Year in 1996.

In addition to coaching softball, Wage coaches the Cougar field hockey team. During her tenure, the two-time New England Division III Coach of the Year has earned a career 230-152-31 mark, including 14 post-season tournaments, a 1991 NCAA berth and a record-breaking 2002 season (19-4). Wage also served as assistant women's basketball coach at Clark from 1984-96 and helped guide the Cougars to four NCAA tournament appearances and three ECAC New England titles.

A four-year starter and star collegiate player at Providence College (B.A., 1981), Wage captained the softball team. Wage is Providence's all-time leading field hockey scorer with New England records of 95 career goals and 213 career points. Nationally, she ranks 11th in career goals and 12th in career points. She was also a four-year member of the Providence basketball team, which won the AIAW Regional crown. In 1980, she was honored as Providence's Female Athlete of the Year and inducted into the Providence College Hall of Fame in 2003. Prior to Providence College, Wage was a three-sport standout at Holy Name High School, where she was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2006.
